Aravalli Jungle Safari is all set to become Haryana’s new identity in the field of eco-tourism. Haryana’s Minister for Environment, Forest, and Wildlife, Rao Narbir Singh, announced that the state government has drafted plans for developing a jungle safari along with implementing the Aravalli Green Wall Project. This initiative not only aims to promote sustainable tourism but also focuses on conserving biodiversity, protecting wildlife, and creating employment opportunities for local communities.
Aravalli Green Wall: A Massive Environmental Initiative Across Four States
The Aravalli mountain range is one of the oldest in India, spreading across four states—Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Delhi—covering an area of around 1.15 million hectares. Rao Narbir Singh stated that the central government has entrusted Haryana with the responsibility of executing the Aravalli Green Wall Project and developing the jungle safari. This project is expected to become a milestone in India’s environmental conservation efforts.
Addressing Climate Change Through Sustainable Action
In today’s world, where climate change and pollution are major global concerns, protecting nature and wildlife has become more critical than ever. Rao Narbir Singh emphasized that environmental balance can only be maintained if we stay sensitive to nature and support conservation initiatives. Inspired by Nagpur and Jamnagar Models
This project was initially under the tourism department but has now been shifted to the forest department as per the directive of Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini. To shape this project better, Rao Narbir Singh personally visited the Gorewada Safari Park in Nagpur and the Vantara Wildlife Project in Jamnagar. The state plans to launch this mega initiative with an inaugural ceremony led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
